Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Computational Mathematics Expert for a remote contract role. The position offers $80-$100 per hour and expects 10-40 hours per week.

You will deliver real-world AI coding agent workflows for computational mathematics, document processes, and clear reports on challenges, objectives, and tool effectiveness.

The role emphasizes independent delivery, strong communication, and practical evaluation of AI tools in solving advanced mathematical problems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in computational mathematics and AI-driven coding workflows.
• Proficiency with Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code and Claude Cowork.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, in writing and speech.
• Experience applying AI agents to debugging and architectural changes.
• Experience working remotely and delivering tasks independently.

Responsabilités

• Deliver detailed, real-world examples of utilizing AI coding agents for computational mathematics projects.
• Describe and document workflows where AI agents have been leveraged for complex technical problem-solving.
• Provide high-quality written and verbal explanations of challenges and project objectives.
• Evaluate and articulate the effectiveness of different AI agent tools for solving mathematical or coding problems.
• Submit concise reports highlighting project complexity and decision-making processes powered by AI agents.
• Contribute feedback on the practical integration and limitations of AI tools within computational mathematics domains.
