Job summary

CMA CGM Group in Marseille is seeking a Reefer Department professional to optimize vessel utilization and ensure efficient refrigerated cargo flow across CMA CGM's global network. You will monitor forecasted fillings, manage space allocations and work with commercial, operations, and cargo flow teams.

In this role you act as a key interface between stakeholders, drive continuous improvement, prepare regular reports, and help maintain service reliability for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Shipping, Logistics, or related field.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, or operations preferred.
• Strong data interpretation and recommendation skills.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international setting.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and autonomy.
• Proactive mindset with solution focus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Team player able to collaborate across functions.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Analyze bookings, forecasts and vessel capacities to optimize filling.
• Alert commercial teams, local agencies and operations teams regarding risks or opportunities affecting vessel utilization.
• Coordinate and communicate allocation decisions, operational instructions and voyage updates with relevant stakeholders.
• Consolidate commercial requirements and support the preparation of quarterly allocation plans.
• Act as a liaison between Cargo Flow teams, commercial departments, operations teams and agents across regions.
• Ensure the optimal distribution of available vessel capacity while supporting cargo routing decisions.
• Monitor allocation consumption and loading forecasts, identifying over-/under-utilization.
• Take corrective actions with stakeholders to restore operational balance when capacity issues arise.
• Support the management of reefer plug utilization and reduce overuse at ports.
• Identify idle containers, misnominations and other costs.
• Monitor VIP cargo movements to ensure smooth execution and reliability.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and yearly reports by port and destination.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency and cargo flow visibility.
