Job summary

Kyber is hiring a senior software engineer to design and develop real-time 3D and XR applications, with a focus on low-latency rendering for visionOS and OpenXR platforms. You will optimize rendering pipelines, work with spatial tracking and sensors, and collaborate across design, product, and systems teams to shape the XR technology strategy.

Based in the Paris area with open remote options in Europe, Kyber values deep technical expertise in graphics, AR/VR, and multi-threaded performance.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of professional software development experience, with focus on 3D/XR systems programming.
• Proven track record on technically complex and critical systems.
• Strong 3DXR reasoning and ability to understand large codebases.
• High level of rigor, autonomy and attention to detail.
• Nice-to-have: open-source XR projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop real-time 3D and XR applications and core components.
• Build and optimize XR experiences for visionOS and OpenXR platforms.
• Implement and maintain rendering pipelines with strict performance/latency constraints.
• Work with spatial tracking, world mapping, hand tracking, and device sensors.
• Optimize frame rate, memory usage, and power on XR devices.
• Integrate 3D engines, native SDKs, and platform APIs.
• Debug complex rendering, synchronization, and spatial alignment issues.
• Collaborate with designers, product teams, and systems engineers.
• Participate in architectural decisions and long-term XR strategy.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and review code at a senior level.
