Job summary

Kyber, based in the Paris area, is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to help clients in Paris, Singapore and San Francisco adapt Kyber’s SDK to real-world hardware, networks and latency constraints.

You will own the full lifecycle on the customer side, from scoping and design to writing code, integrating with the customer stack and deploying in production. This is a hands-on role bridging engineering and field delivery.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of software development experience with production shipping.
• Proficiency in Rust, C, or assembly and debugging across all three.
• Strong understanding of real-time and low-latency systems.
• Comfort working directly with customers and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customer teams to understand machines, networks, and constraints and translate into concrete technical requirements.
• Design, build, and deploy customer-specific integrations on Kyber SDK and transport layer.
• Tune end-to-end pipelines to meet strict real-time targets (latency budgets, frame budgets, jitter, packet loss over QUIC).
• Integrate Kyber with customer hardware and software—actuators, sensors, video streams, and control stacks.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in live deployments under tight latency constraints.
• Produce technical documentation, integration guides, and reference deployments.
• Conduct senior-level code reviews and uphold engineering quality across customer work.
