Datadog is seeking Software Engineering Interns to help build and scale the observability and security platform. Interns contribute to backend, frontend, infrastructure, data engineering, and tooling while learning from experienced engineers.

You'll work on real-time data processing, distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud-native services. This 6-month internship starts in 2027 and offers a hybrid work arrangement, mentorship, and opportunities for growth as you tackle meaningful projects at

Qualifications

• Pursuing a CS/Software Eng degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals including data structures and algorithms.
• Comfortable coding in one or more languages and eager to use AI-assisted tools.
• Experience or interest in AI coding tools and enhancing engineering practices.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to production systems processing and analyzing large-scale observability data in real time.
• Build and improve distributed backend/frontend/infrastructure components.
• Help identify performance, reliability, and scalability challenges in key services.
• Own and deliver technical projects from design through deployment with mentorship.
• Develop technical expertise with Kubernetes, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure.
