Job summary

Harmattan AI in Paris seeks a Radar Signal Processing Engineer to own the signal processing algorithms for our airborne radar payload. You will manage the workstream from algorithmic research through embedded implementation and flight validation, collaborating with EW and RF analytics teams to deliver mission-ready capabilities.

The role requires 2–5 years in radar signal processing, strong mathematical foundations, and experience with FMCW or pulsed radar.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years hands-on radar signal processing experience.
• Experience with FMCW or pulsed radar.
• Strong math foundations; avoid overreliance on off-the-shelf tools.
• Ability to own a technical scope end-to-end.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing and flight campaigns.
• Ability to work in fast, iterative development cycles.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement near-real-time radar image formation algorithms (ISAR).
• Develop detection and tracking algorithms (EKF/UKF) for moving targets.
• Build jamming estimation capabilities with spectral and covariance analysis.
• Contribute radar observables to navigation when GNSS is unavailable.
• Prototype and port algorithms to embedded platforms with real-time constraints.
• Validate end-to-end through HIL, anechoic tests, and flight conditions.
• Collaborate with EW and RF analytics to align with system requirements.
