The role involves setting up multi-element electronic and optical laser setups, manufacturing samples, conducting experiments, processing data, and performing FE simulations; collaboration with civil research partners is expected.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in acoustics, physics or related field.
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques is required.
• Signal processing and finite element simulation skills are essential.
• Machining skills are advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Set up an experimental set-up based on a multi-element electronic system for Rayleigh wave generation, synchronized with the laser source.
• Set up an optical experimental set-up coupled to the high-energy laser source for velocimetry measurements.
• Design and manufacture suitable metal samples.
• Carry out measurement campaigns; process data.
• Model using finite element simulations where possible.
• Participate in ANR LASERSHOWS projects; supervise trainees and assist PhD student.
