Job summary

Alstom seeks an E&M Interface Engineer (Turnkey) for the Gautrain project in Gauteng. The role focuses on system definition, sizing, and MBSE studies, with responsibility for defining interfaces between subsystems and coordinating with partners and clients onsite.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from a university.
• Knowledge of railway systems and operating requirements.
• At least 5 years of engineering/technical experience including 3 years in railway projects.
• Good command of English and contract language.
• Knowledge of the rail environment and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Define system definitions and perform system sizing.
• Conduct railway system analysis using MBSE methods.
• Write system specifications and obtain stakeholder approval.
• Collect track, power supply, signalling and rolling stock data for performance optimization.
• Analyze requirements and support changes.
• Create/update Interfaces documents coordinating subsystems and clients.
