Alstom is seeking a System Engineer/Requirement Conf_Turnkey Ref for a key turnkey project. You will participate in system definition, sizing, and MBSE-based analysis, defining interfaces between subsystems and coordinating with clients and partners.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering/technical roles with at least 3 years in railway projects, strong English, and a solid understanding of railway environments and engineering practices.

HIERARCHIC MANAGER – Project Engineering Manager

INTERFACES: The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:

YOUR FUTURE ROLE :

• To participate to some system activities (system design, system sizing).
• To define and manage some interfaces between Subsystems either within Alstom contract or with other contractors or partners

POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION –

MAIN OFFICE LOCATION:

• Located in Nigel (Ekurhuleni) at the production site
• May also be required to visit suppliers and other Alstom sites/offices
• Project team, Construction manager, Subsystem's engineering managers and installation managers Customer, Consortium Partners, Subcontractors, Consultants

WE'LL LOOK TO YOU TO:

• Participate to the System definition and the system sizing
• Participate to the railway system analysis through a MBSE approach
• Write some system specifications and make them approved by all the stakeholders.
• Participate to system sizing by gathering the track, Power supply, signalling and Rolling stock data required for this activity and support the performances optimisation
• Participate to the requirement analysis and development
• Participate to the change analysis
• Produce or update some Interfaces documents in coordination with the subsystems and make them agreed by both subsystems and approved by the client

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

• Graduate Of University Degree in any of Engineering

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements
• At least 5 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions including 3 years in Railway projects
• A good level of English and contract Language
• Knowledge of the rail environment and engineering practices
• Good co-ordination and communication
