Quobly, based in Grenoble, is expanding its R&D program to deliver a first quantum computer. We are seeking an R&D Project Manager to structure and drive complex, multidisciplinary projects from chip fabrication to integration, while embedding pragmatic PM practices.

You will coordinate diverse teams, report to management, and contribute to building a robust project management culture in a deep-tech startup environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical or R&D project management.
• Comfortable managing complex multidisciplinary projects and using planning tools like Agile, Waterfall, and Gantt.

Based in the heart of the French Alps, Quobly is the result of more than 15 years of research into quantum computing.

At Quobly we made the choice of practical and scalable quantum technology. We are building a spin-qubit quantum computer on silicon, leveraging 300 mm FD-SOI technology and an industrial ecosystem that is unique in Europe.

Technical Challenges

Turn complex technological challenges into structured projects and support our R&D teams in delivering them, from quantum chip fabrication and characterization through to integration and operation.

• Structure R&D projects: objectives, milestones, resources, schedules and budgets.
• Drive project execution and ensure alignment with roadmap, cost and timing objectives.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary R&D teams, managing dependencies, risks and roadblocks.
• Lead project reviews and steering committees, providing clear reporting to management.
• Implement pragmatic project management methods and tools adapted to Quobly’s R&D environment.

Beyond project delivery, you will contribute to building Quobly’s project management culture.

Joining a team of talented researchers and engineers working on one of today’s most ambitious technological challenges, at the heart of Grenoble’s deep-tech ecosystem.

• You have proven experience in technical or R&D project management, ideally within a deep-tech, start-up/scale-up or industrial environment.
• You are comfortable managing complex multidisciplinary projects and using project management methodologies and planning tools (Agile, Waterfall, Gantt, OpenProject…).
• Pragmatic, structured and collaborative, you know how to bring teams together and drive projects forward.
• Knowledge of microelectronics, semiconductors, characterization or quantum technologies is a strong plus.
