About the Role
- Bacterial culture preparation and execution: Prepare and conduct bacterial culture techniques on Petri dishes, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Protocol development, data acquisition, and analysis: Assist in developing and improving culture protocols, collect experimental data, and conduct preliminary analyses to optimize results.
- Sample management and traceability: Handle and manage samples with precision, ensuring complete traceability and proper documentation.
- Laboratory operations and maintenance: Involvement in managing laboratory tasks, including supply orders, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with hardware and machine learning teams to develop a robust microbiology and food data library.

Required qualifications / experience
- Proven experience as a laboratory technician, ideally with a focus on microbiology. Familiarity with the food industry is a plus.
- Understanding of bacterial culture methods and techniques relevant to industrial applications.
- Proficiency in data management tools (especially Excel) and experience with laboratory notebook systems for accurate record-keeping.
- Motivated by research and development activities, particularly in developing new lab methods.
- Excellent communication skills: Comfortable interacting with different teams and levels of the organization, as well as external stakeholders. English proficiency (B2 level or above) is an asset for effective cross-team collaboration.
- Energetic, proactive, with high attention to detail and an ability to work autonomously.
