Elaborate, develop, industrialize and transfer optical fibers manufacturing processes at the Douvrin plant in France.**Description**:Reporting to Fiber R&D Management, you will drive APVD process development, qualification and scale-up for optical fiber preform manufacturing processes.**Job**:In a multicultural and multisite context, you will:* Develop, optimize and industrialize manufacturing processes for Advanced Plasma Vapor Deposition and associated processes.* Participate in process qualification and validation activities in collaboration with Product R&D, Quality, Process Control and Manufacturing teams.* Be part of a multidisciplinary team of expertise to guide future improvement projects.* Conduct experiments, analyze, draw conclusions, and implement recommendations* As part of the support to production teams, investigate process deviations, perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.* Actively participate in process transfers to production teams.* Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield improvement, cost reduction, process robustness and operational excellence.* Contribute to innovation activities through patents, publications, technical benchmarking and technology watch.* Develop technical expertise and actively share knowledge within the organization.**Safety First:**In our industrial environment, safety is paramount. You will:* Apply and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations.* Promote the prevention of occupational risks and control of pollution and nuisances.* Adhere to and advocate for best practices in safety and continuous improvement.Travel within Prysmian's international organization will regularly be required.**Profile**:* Engineering degree from a leading engineering school, or MSc/University degree in materials science, optics, photonics, physics, chemistry or process engineering; PhD is a plus.* At least 3-years experience in industrial R&D, process development, manufacturing engineering or technology development.* Knowledge of optical fiber manufacturing, glass processing, deposition technologies, plasma processes is an advantage.* Direct management experience is a plus.* Good understanding of fiber design and manufacturing constraints is a plus.* Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE), process characterization and industrial qualification methodologies.* Knowledge of programming, data analytics and database tools (Python, SQL, statistical software) is appreciated.* Strong experimental mindset, data analysis capabilities and ability to use statistical tools to drive process decisions.* Fluent English; French is a plus.* Project management, communication skills and ability to work with R&D, production, maintenance, quality and engineering teams.* Autonomy, rigor, methodology, autonomy, curiosity, flexibility, reliability and strong commitment to safety and industrial performance.At Prysmian, innovation, teamplay, passion and belonging are part of our DNA.
