C12 Quantum Electronics in Paris seeks a Thermal Modeling & Cryogenic Systems Engineer (Quantum Hardware). You will own the thermal architecture and models for complex cryogenic quantum systems, enabling scalable qubit platforms and cryo-electronics integration.

Responsibilities include developing system-level thermal models, validating them experimentally, and guiding architectural decisions to ensure quantum performance and thermal stability.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Cryogenics with ≥3 years industry experience.
• Strong background in thermal engineering and cryogenics.
• Proven ability to build and maintain thermal models to guide design decisions.
• Experience working with quantum hardware, electronics, and systems teams is a plus.
• Hands-on with dilution refrigerators and multi-stage cryogenic platforms.
• Proficiency in data analysis and model automation (e.g., Python, Matlab).

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain system-level thermal models of quantum hardware across cryogenic stages.
• Collaborate with system engineers and physicists to identify thermal constraints and bottlenecks.
• Own the thermal budget and perform trade-offs among architectures and wiring schemes.
• Validate thermal models via experiments, compare with measurements, and refine designs.
• Design thermalization strategies for signals and cryo-electronics to minimize heat loads.
• Support integration and operation of cryogenic test platforms and instrumentation.
• Document assumptions, models, and design rules for product development.
