Alice & Bob is building the first universal fault‑tolerant quantum computer and seeks a Senior HPC Engineer to scale and optimize the computational backbone of chip simulation workflows. You will work with quantum theorists, experimentalists, and software engineers to design, optimize and maintain high‑performance scientific software and compute backends supporting quantum chip design and calibration.

Requirements include a PhD or Master’s in scientific computing or related fields, 5+ years in

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in scientific computing, applied mathematics, or computer science.
• 5+ years of experience in developing production‑grade scientific software; at least 2 years in industry.
• Strong programming in Python, JAX and Rust.
• HPC skills: CPU parallelization (MPI, OpenMP), GPU, scheduling/orchestration, profiling and optimization.
• Good knowledge of finite precision arithmetic and numerical linear algebra.
• Professional English proficiency (written and spoken).

Responsabilités

• Drive performance improvements of scientific computing tools across CPU and GPU in cloud or on‑prem environments.
• Profile, diagnose, and optimize performance bottlenecks at algorithm, software and hardware levels.
• Build and scale distributed simulation pipelines for complex quantum system models.
