Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. in Strasbourg, France, is seeking a Quality Control Analyst (m/f/d) to join on site and support microbiology testing and environmental monitoring.

You will review results in quality systems, participate in investigations and CAPAs, maintain GMP/GLP documentation, and ensure timely product releases.

Work with Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering to maintain instruments and procedures, contributing to compliance and continuous improvement in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in microbiology quality control and environmental monitoring in regulated pharma settings.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC, GLP, hygiene, and health & safety requirements.
  • Experience in investigations, deviation management, and root-cause analysis.

Quality Control Analyst (m/f/d) Location: Strasbourg, France

This role is based on site. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards. Join our Quality Control team in Strasbourg and play a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of products manufactured for patients worldwide. What you will do
  • Perform microbiological testing and environmental monitoring activities to ensure product quality and compliance within manufacturing and laboratory environments.
  • Manage and review analytical results within quality systems, supporting timely product release and effective quality decision-making.
  • Conduct trending analyses of microbiological and environmental data, identifying deviations, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in investigations of non-conformances, root cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Qualify, verify, and maintain laboratory instruments, reagents, and analytical systems to ensure reliable and compliant laboratory operations.
  • Draft, revise, and implement laboratory procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation in accordance with GMP and GLP requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance laboratory performance and regulatory compliance.
What we are looking for
  • Experience in microbiological quality control, environmental monitoring, or laboratory testing within a regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences environment.
  • Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Good understanding of quality systems (QA/QC), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), hygiene standards, and health & safety requirements.
  • Experience participating in investigations, deviation management, and root cause analysis activities.
  • Ability to analyze quality data, identify trends, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Education in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, team spirit, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced regulated environment.
