The Exploration Company in Bordeaux is seeking a senior propulsion engineering leader to drive design decisions and mentor a growing team. You will own propulsion system design, manage interfaces with systems, and ensure traceability from concept to qualification.

Location is at our Bordeaux premises with occasional travel to Munich. You will influence cross-disciplinary teams across thermal, structural, and CAD domains while delivering robust hardware for current and future missions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on propulsion design for launch vehicles or spacecraft.
• Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced hardware environment.
• Experience with design reviews and mentoring of junior engineers.
• Proficiency across thermal, structural, and mechanical domains.

Responsabilités

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of propulsion engineers across thermal, structural, and CAD functions.
• Define scopes, set priorities, and manage workload to hit program milestones.
• Conduct design reviews and provide clear technical direction.
• Oversee design-to-requirements traceability and interfaces with other subsystems.
• Oversee CAD standards, BOM, and configuration control.
