Job summary

The Exploration Company in Bordeaux is seeking an experienced engineer to own the functional architecture and performance of the propellant feed system for a MON3-MMH propulsion system. You will define architecture, size the system, run simulations, and lead verification from component to assembly, ensuring compliance with specifications throughout the mission envelope.

You will collaborate across design, test and operations, travel to Munich as needed, and hold a Master’s or PhD in Aerospace

Qualifications

• Master's and/or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience with Python and 0D-1D fluid simulations (EcosimPro or equivalent).
• Hands-on propulsion system design experience for launch vehicles or space systems.
• Experience with version control systems (Git or SVN).
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and compressible flow.
• Experience with storable propulsion systems is a plus.
• Fluency in English; German or French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the functional architecture of the feed system.
• Perform system-level sizing, sensitivity analyses and simulations.
• Define functional requirements for subsystems and verification steps.
• Lead functional and performance verification from component to assembly.
• Interface across design, test, and operations throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
