Job summary

The Exploration Company in France is seeking a Propulsion Test Engineer to join our team developing orbital propulsion systems for Nyx. You will oversee test and analysis of propulsion hardware, write test procedures, and collaborate with engineers across propulsion, test bench, and AIT teams.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, 3–5 years in propulsion testing, and hands-on experience with engine testing, propulsion chemistry, and CFD/CEA simulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's or PhD in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of propulsion testing experience.
• Experience with engine testing, propulsion chemistry, thermodynamics and fluids.
• Python programming skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute engine and component tests to evaluate hardware performance.
• Develop test plans, objectives and schedules for test campaigns.
• Lead risk assessments and define safety mitigations.
• Interpret P&IDs and generate test sequences for test benches.
• Collaborate with development engineers, test bench, and external partners.
• Support rapid data processing to guide test campaigns.
• Prepare procedures, test reports, and performance analyses.
