Jobtailor is seeking a Civil/Hydraulic Engineer to lead urban water projects in Caen, France. You will oversee master plans for drinking water, wastewater and stormwater, direct teams, and manage budgets and schedules, ensuring rigorous adherence to public procurement standards.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in water engineering and a track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects, including field assignments under senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Civil or hydraulic engineering degree from recognized programs (e.g., ENGEES, ENSE3, ENSEEIHT, ENSIP).
• At least 5 years of experience in water engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in urban water engineering and public procurement.
• Strong leadership and ability to resolve technical challenges.

Responsabilités

• Lead drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater master plans.
• Oversee project deliverables, progress, and finances.
• Coordinate with contractors and supervise the design/engineering team.
• Participate in tender responses and pre-sales activities.

Description du poste

• Contribute to drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater studies
• Lead drinking water and wastewater master plans
• Conduct diagnostic studies, develop proposed capital works programs, and carry out tariff studies
• Produce GIS mapping, including network plans, construction plans, and flood-zone maps
• Conduct asset management studies of networks and infrastructure
• Provide owner’s engineering assistance as part of technical assignments relating to the urban water cycle
• Plan workloads
• Supervise deliverables, monitor project progress, and oversee project finances
• Participate in business meetings and lead meetings
• Contribute to tender responses and pre-sales activities
• Manage the design and engineering team
• Monitor projects from contractual and accounting perspectives
• Manage relationships with contractors
• Participate in the agency’s field projects under the supervision of the Agency Director

Requirements

• Civil or hydraulic engineer (including ENGEES, ENSE3, ENSEEIHT, or ENSIP graduates)
• At least 5 years of experience in water engineering
• Demonstrated expertise in urban water engineering
• Proficiency in public procurement and contracting
• Strong team leadership and facilitation skills
• Ability to resolve technical challenges
