Job summary

Energy Jobline ATTB in Northern NJ is seeking a Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to join a well-established Heavy Civil / Infrastructure Construction firm. The role involves coordinating with Project Managers, reviewing drawings, and supporting site operations on roadway, utilities, and site development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Civil Engineering background strongly preferred.
• Internship or professional experience within heavy civil, infrastructure, utility, roadway, or site development projects preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Procore, AutoCAD, or Bluebeam experience is a plus.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work in-office as well as travel to active project sites.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and visiting job sites in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Track schedules, budgets, and project progress.
• Support documentation, reporting, and project closeout processes.
• Attend project meetings and assist with site coordination.
• Help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Assist with utility, roadway, excavation, concrete, and sitework projects.
