Aldebaran Group seeks a Project Engineer to support the project management team on major industrial projects in France or internationally. The role is based in the Paris region and requires fluency in English and French.

You will assist in analyzing contractual clauses, coordinate technical work across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process engineering, and manage PFDs/PIDs with the Process Department. Experience in oil and gas a plus.

Responsabilités

  • Assist Lead Project Engineer in analyzing contractual clauses and drafting study specifications.
  • Coordinate project technically, aligning mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and process engineering.
  • Manage PFDs and PIDs with Process Department, ensuring coherence with standards.
  • Contribute to optimizing studies for cost, deadlines, quality and safety using standard project management methods.
  • Address technical issues and conduct risk studies (HAZOP, AMDEC, ARA, EVREX).
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure consistency with contractual requirements and standards.
  • Support evolution of standards and capitalization of best practices throughout the project.

SUMMARY:

Ready for exciting challenges in the Energy sector?
We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the project management team on several major industrial projects in France or internationally.
The position is based in the Paris region.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assisting the Lead Project Engineer in analyzing technical contractual clauses and drafting general project study specifications.
  • Technically coordinating the project, managing the technical constraints of the contract, and ensuring coordination among different internal specialties such as mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process engineering.
  • Managing the PFDs and PIDs of the project in collaboration with the Process Department.
  • Contributing to optimizing studies in terms of costs, deadlines, quality, and safety, using tools such as the PERT/CPM method and project management software.
  • Participating in addressing technical issues identified throughout the project, as well as various risk studies such as HAZOP, AMDEC, ARA, and EVREX analyses.
  • Managing the technical documentation of the project and ensuring its coherence with contractual requirements and applicable standards.
  • Participating in the evolution of standards and the capitalization of best practices throughout the project.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
  • Strong skills in contractual analysis and technical writing, with knowledge of relevant industrial standards such as API, ASME, ISO, etc.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple technical aspects of a project simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
YOUR PROFILE
  • You ideally have experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent. 5 to 10 years of professional experience as a project engineer, assistant, or project manager in an industrial environment.
  • Fluency in both English and French
