Job summary

Keoni is seeking a Product Owner to manage the product vision and ensure alignment between business priorities, users, IT, and data teams. You will define objectives, roadmaps, and acceptance criteria, driving value across the digital ecosystem.

Qualifications

Job description

Context: Our client relies on a multi-application digital ecosystem to support its academic, administrative, and decision-making activities. In a context of continuously evolving needs and solutions, the mission is to strengthen the functional management of digital products, from defining requirements to production deployment and adoption. The Product Owner will be responsible for ensuring alignment between business priorities, user expectations, and the constraints of the IT and Data teams, while guaranteeing functional consistency, quality of service, and delivered value.Role and Scope: The Product Owner is responsible for the product vision of the solutions entrusted to them and ensures their functional management throughout the entire lifecycle. Acting as an interface between business stakeholders, users, IT teams, and development teams, they transform needs into actionable priorities, make decisions based on expected value, and guarantee the functional consistency of developments with the IT department's strategy.Mission Objectives • Align digital products with the client's strategic priorities and user needs • Maximize the business value and user experience of delivered enhancements • Ensure the functional quality, consistency, adoption, and maintainability of solutions • Implement transparent product management based on shared priorities and measurable resultsMain missions • Define the product framework: understand business challenges, analyze the existing system, identify users and formalize objectives, scope, constraints and expected results • Champion the product vision: define, share and update the vision, value proposition and roadmap in line with the IT strategy • Gather requirements: prepare and lead workshops, analyze user journeys and processes, challenge requests and translate needs into clear functional requirements • Manage the backlog: build, maintain and prioritize the backlog according to value, urgency, risks, dependencies and feasibility • Specify changes: write epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria; • Produce the functional elements necessary for understanding and estimation • Support development: answer team questions, clarify decisions, participate in Agile ceremonies, and validate the alignment of increments with requirements • Coordinate stakeholders: act as the interface between business units, users, IT, Data & AI teams, project managers, and external partners; make decisions, risks, and dependencies visible • Organize user acceptance testing: define the test strategy and scenarios, coordinate contributors, track anomalies, and provide functional validation of deliverables • Prepare for production releases: contribute to version preparation, verify prerequisites, anticipate user impacts, and ensure service continuity • Support adoption: contribute to communication, documentation, and user support; gather feedback and identify areas for improvement • Measure and improve: monitor service quality, usage, and delivered value; propose corrective actions; and capitalize on knowledge within ConfluenceExpected Deliverables • Shared product vision, objectives, scope, and roadmap • Qualified, prioritized, and regularly updated backlog • User stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and functional documentation • Test plans, scenarios, and reports; bug tracking and validation decisions • Arbitration documents, workshop reports, and monitoring dashboards • Functional documentation and user support materialsInterfaces and Governance: The Product Owner works closely with business units, user representatives, Digital Solutions & IT, Data & AI teams, project managers, developers, support teams, and, where applicable, vendors or service providers. They establish a governance structure tailored to the product, prepare decision-making processes, document decisions, and ensure regular communication on progress, risks, dependencies, and next steps.Success Criteria • Clarity and stability of priorities, with a backlog usable by the development teams • Achievement of functional objectives and reduction of anomalies detected after production deployment • Effective adoption of solutions and satisfaction of users and stakeholders • Management of risks, dependencies, and trade-offs within the assigned scope • Traceability of decisions and quality of functional documentationRequired skills • Product management: mastery of the Product Owner role, definition of a product vision, building a roadmap and prioritization by business and user value • Agile methods: mastery of Scrum, agile ceremonies, backlog management and writing user stories with acceptance criteria • Functional analysis: gathering, analyzing, synthesizing and formalizing complex requirements; modeling business journeys and processes • Testing and quality: defining a test strategy, preparing test cases, tracking anomalies and functional validation of deliverables • Change management: supporting users, monitoring adoption and contributing to continuous product improvement • Stakeholder management: ability to lead workshops, facilitate arbitration and reconcile sometimes contradictory expectations • IT and data culture: good understanding of application architectures, interfaces, data flows and the challenges of data security, quality and governance • Tools: proficiency in Jira and Confluence; Knowledge of prototyping, process mapping, or querying tools is appreciated . Professional qualities: rigor, autonomy, organizational skills, decisiveness, teaching ability, diplomacy, and proactive approach.Required Profile • Master's degree (Bac+5 level) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management, Business School, or equivalent field • At least 7 years of experience in project management or leading digital products within an information systems context • Significant experience as a Product Owner, including at least one end-to-end Agile project, from the scoping phase to production deployment and adoption monitoring • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-application environment, coordinate business and technical stakeholders, and manage several projects simultaneously • Experience in higher education, services, or a complex environment involving numerous users is an assetApplication: CV + cover letter + copies of diplomas to be sent to contact@keoni.fr
