AgFunder Inc. in Suresnes, Île-de-France, is seeking a Process Development & Scale-Up Intern to help transfer phage production from lab to manufacturing up to 10 L.

You will work with Lab Operations and Production teams on hands-on projects to optimize processes and design experiments. The role offers exposure to bioprocess development in a fast-paced biotech environment, with a focus on data analysis, documentation, and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (M2) or final-year engineering degree in biotechnology or related field.
  • Knowledge of basic microbiology techniques.
  • Strong interest in bioprocess development and scale-up.

Responsabilités

  • Perform microbiology techniques and phage manipulation.
  • Screen phage production conditions in shake flasks and small-scale bioreactors.
  • Monitor and optimize production processes of one or several bacteriophages.
  • Scale up phage production to 10 L pilot-scale bioreactors.
  • Record and analyze experimental data.
  • Support day-to-day activities of the laboratory.

Description du poste

As a Process Development & Scale-Up Intern, you will help transfer phage production processes from the laboratory to manufacturing, working closely with our Lab Operations and Production teams. Your main objective will be to support the development and scale-up of phage production processes up to 10 L.

You will work on hands‑on projects involving process optimization, scale‑up, experimental design, and data analysis, gaining practical experience in bioprocess development within a fast‑paced biotechnology environment.

What You'll Do :
  • Perform microbiology techniques and phage manipulation

Preferred experience
  • Master's degree (M2) or final‑year Engineering degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related field
  • Notions on microbiology techniques
  • Strong interest in bioprocess development and scale‑up
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Organized, autonomous, and eager to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
  • Minimum B2 English level (written & spoken)
