Jobtailor in Paris is seeking a Fund Accountant to manage fund accounting for Private Equity structures and prepare investor reports. You will ensure accurate financial data, coordinate with auditors, and implement robust controls in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires solid IFRS knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and collaboration with legal teams and portfolio managers to maintain high-quality financial information for investors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's to Master's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Proven experience in fund accounting, ideally in private equity or asset management.
• Strong knowledge of French accounting rules and IFRS where applicable.
• Advanced Excel and proficiency with accounting ERP software.

Responsabilités

• Maintain accounting records for funds and investment entities (posting, account matching and reconciliations).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closings in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare financial statements, investor reports and dashboards dedicated to Private Equity.
• Manage taxation for the structures, with external advisors as needed.
• Monitor payments, capital calls and distributions of proceeds.
• Control and substantiate fees and expenses related to investment vehicles.
• Assist external audits and respond to auditors’ information requests.
• Improve accounting procedures and internal controls for Private Equity activities.
• Collaborate with legal teams, investors and portfolio managers to ensure quality financial information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records for funds and investment entities (posting, account matching and reconciliations)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closings in compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Prepare financial statements, investor reports and dashboards dedicated to Private Equity
• Manage taxation for the structures: tax filings, monitoring of instalments/payments, and tax optimisation in coordination with external advisors
• Monitor payments, capital calls and distributions of proceeds
• Control and substantiate fees and expenses related to investment vehicles
• Participate in external audits and respond to auditors’ information requests
• Implement and improve accounting procedures and internal controls specific to Private Equity activities
• Collaborate closely with legal teams, investors and portfolio managers to ensure the quality of financial information

Requirements

• Bachelor's to Master's degree in Accounting/Finance (e.g., DCG, DSCG, Master CCA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in fund accounting, ideally in private equity, asset management or asset structuring
• Strong knowledge of French accounting rules and, where applicable, international standards (IFRS)
• Excellent command of office tools and accounting software/ERP (advanced Excel required)
• Accuracy, strong organizational skills, analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively
• Professional proficiency in English is a plus
