Dynatrace is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead deployment and design engagements for enterprise clients, guiding implementations of the Dynatrace platform at scale in hybrid environments.

You will work with product engineering teams, drive architecture decisions, and mentor client engineers while coordinating across accounts. Remote role with occasional travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in large Enterprise environments.
• Experience with Dynatrace or Observability/APM is a major plus.
• Strong communication and leadership skills in client-facing roles.
• Solid understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security basics.
• Hands-on experience with container-based solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).

Our growing Architecture Team has formed out of a high demand in our Enterprise clients needing leadership to deploy the Dynatrace platform at extreme scale. Many of our engagements require highly experienced Solution Architect services to assess, design and provide guided implementation assistance. The engagements we lead often help our customers navigate use cases through their own highly complex hybrid environments.

Many of the enterprises we encounter are on a journey, transforming the way they monitor at scale and not only in production but throughout their entire application lifecycles. Beyond improving their monitoring, our customers also seek to use our products to increases their competitive advantage. Our capabilities offer tool rationalization, ITSM integrations, DevOps techniques all in highly dynamic environments that span both Cloud and On-Premise infrastructure.

As an Architecture Team member you will be asked to work with a variety of accounts where you must lead very skilled engineering staff of our customers. You may also get involved in diving in to help isolate major performance issues and/or provide solutions in mitigating performance problems within large environments. You will work with our product engineering teams to ensure any functional gaps and opportunities for improvement are clearly articulated and managed between our accounts and our engineering team.

Our team members regularly get involved in hands on solutioning both for our own purposes of working smarter not harder or to assist in the implementation of deployments or solutions at the customer. Our joint team of highly experienced Architects are periodically found coding in C#, Java, SQL, NodeJS, JavaScript, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform and many more. To be part of the team means contributing a history of both high-level consulting to rolling the sleeves up and contributing in code either for the team or the customer.

Beyond working with customers, Architecture Team members are also responsible for updating the wider consultancy teams with best practices, lessons learned and key guidance in both their customer-facing work and career.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior Work or Consulting in large Enterprise/Corporate environments
• Prior Experience using Dynatrace or managing Observability/APM solutions a major plus
• Solid understanding of a variety of Cloud technologies and offerings such as AWS, Azure or GCP with at least expertise and/or certification in one while having an aptitude and appetite to learn others quickly.
• Solid understanding of network topologies, routing, network security, security protocols, routing, load balancers and capacity planning.
• Solid understanding of a Container based solutions using Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes and similar products.

Preferred requirements:

• Outstanding communicator
• The ability to consult and lead multi-day meetings to assess technologies and processes.
• Solid understanding of Application and/or Infrastructure Monitoring & Observability
• Develop automation and repeatable processes/scripts to enable solutions that deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor Client applications is a plus
• Solid understanding of solutions using Puppet, Ansible, ArgoCD, Backstage, TFS and similar products.
• Solid understanding of PaaS concepts and implementations such as Kubernetes/OpenShift, AWS Lambda, ECS & Fargate or other cloud equivalents.
• Development experience with JavaScript and web development frameworks React and/or Angular.
• Development experience in at least one object-oriented language.
• Solid to Expert hands-on experience with SQL
• Prior hands‑on experience providing troubleshooting expertise for performance and other issues.
• Prior experience in streamlining a development lifecycle with automated provisioning and testing of resources.

Travel:

• Whilst the position is remote, travel to customer sites is expected from time-to-time.
