Job summary

Moody's seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of secure agentic AI capabilities powering the Insurance Life platform. You will shape the AXIS Cloud AI orchestration layer, select tools, and define governance patterns, while guiding a hands-on engineering team.

You will work with architecture, engineering, and product partners to ensure responsible AI adoption and production-grade solutions across domains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with multi-team delivery.
• Hands-on in AI applications and agentic systems.
• Experience with MCP and governance controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, architecture, development, and delivery of secure, scalable agentic AI capabilities.
• Co-define and drive architecture and roadmap for AXIS Cloud AI orchestration layer.
• Contribute to design and delivery of the AI orchestration platform hands-on.
• Drive key technical decisions and translate direction into engineering solutions.
• Prototype emergent AI patterns and advance concepts to production.
• Prioritize end-to-end vertical solutions with customer value.
• Ensure secure and transparent AI systems with middleware, audits, logging, and recovery.
• Refactor existing LLM apps onto a shared orchestration layer.
• Deploy and operate AI services in Kubernetes with observability and cost controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with regulatory requirements.
• Promote adoption of agentic AI patterns and coach other teams.
