Job summary

The Actuary is partnering with an international insurer to appoint a Pricing Data Science Manager in a newly created role. Based in Europe, you will own advanced analytics initiatives across multiple markets and lead a small Data Science team in pricing.

You will combine hands-on modelling with leadership, collaborating with local pricing teams, risk, and tech to enhance pricing accuracy, customer segmentation and profitable growth. Remote interviews possible.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Data Science or predictive modelling, preferably in insurance.
• Strong pricing domain knowledge and impact on profitability.
• Hands-on Python with data science libraries and production deployment experience.
• Experience with pricing tools and cloud environments is a plus.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and improve pricing-focused ML models for pricing optimisation.
• Lead a team of 3-4 Data Scientists, mentor and grow the function.
• Collaborate with pricing teams and technology to put models into production.
• Monitor model performance, detect drift and support retraining.
• Translate business challenges into practical data science solutions with measurable impact.
