Job summary

Tiffany & Co. is seeking a Technical Optimization Manufacturing Specialist to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and cost across our supplier network and internal operations in Europe.

You will lead tooling and process trials, validate improvements, and drive production implementation with a focus on CNC machining, automation, and precision processes. The role offers base in France or Italy with opportunities to travel across Europe; strong engineering background and hands-on problem solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Substantial experience in manufacturing engineering, automation, precision machining, tooling, or process development with shop-floor problem solving.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, multi-axis manufacturing, tooling, fixtures, tolerances, GD&T, and metrology.
• Experience developing or improving tooling and manufacturing processes with trials, validation, and production implementation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, and process documentation.
• Strong project-management, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites and cultures; travel regularly in Europe.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel regularly throughout Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical assessments of legacy products to identify cost reductions and improved manufacturability.
• Evaluate machining sequences, tooling, fixtures, tolerances, and process capability to identify root causes.
• Develop improved manufacturing concepts emphasizing machining, tooling, fixtures, and automation.
• Apply CNC/multi-axis knowledge to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
• Provide hands-on support at supplier and internal locations across Tiffany’s network.
• Support tooling development, trials, troubleshooting, validation, and production implementation.
• Ensure optimized methods are repeatable, scalable, and meet Engineering and Quality requirements.
• Review drawings, CAD data, specs, and inspection results to validate solutions.
• Lead workstreams from opportunity definition through trial and production sign-off.
• Coordinate suppliers and internal partners to meet cost, quality, and timing objectives.
• Share best practices from jewelry, watchmaking, aerospace, medical devices, and automotive industries.
• Act as technical liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Strategic Sourcing, and suppliers.
