Job summary

The Technical Optimization Manufacturing Specialist position at Tiffany & Co. focuses on improving manufacturability, efficiency, and consistency across supplier networks and internal operations.

You will apply expertise in CNC machining, tooling, fixtures, and automation to develop production-ready solutions that reduce cycle times, labor, and costs while ensuring quality standards. Travel across Europe is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Substantial experience in manufacturing engineering, automation, precision machining, tooling, or process development.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, multi-axis manufacturing, GD&T, tolerances, datum structures, and metrology.
• Demonstrated experience developing or improving tooling and manufacturing processes with trials, validation, qualification, and production implementation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, and process documentation.
• Strong project-management, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across Europe and work across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical manufacturing assessments to identify cost reductions and productivity improvements.
• Evaluate machining sequences, tooling, fixtures, and tolerances to identify root causes.
• Develop improved manufacturing concepts with emphasis on automation and process optimization.
• Provide hands-on support at supplier and internal locations across Europe.
• Lead trials, validation, qualification, and production implementation.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify risks and validate solutions.
• Establish project plans, responsibilities, timing, and success criteria for optimizations.
• Coordinate suppliers and internal partners to maintain project momentum.
• Serve as SME translating optimization objectives into practical manufacturing solutions.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to shop-floor teams and leadership.
