Army National Guard offers a pathway to train and earn while you learn as a Power- Equipment Repairer. You will perform preventive maintenance checks, replace voltage regulators, governors, or circuit cards, and adjust frequencies and voltages to optimize equipment efficiency.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and about 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with a mix of classroom and field time.

Qualifications

• Generators and powerplant operations.
• Electrical distribution and circuitry understanding.
• Diesel generator operation, disassembly, inspection and maintenance.
• Principles of electrical and electronic circuitry.

• Perform maintenance on tactical utility, precise power- sets, internal combustion engines, and associated equipment
