Qualifications

• This postdoctoral position requires a PhD in linguistics or a closely related field.
• Strong background in linguistic methodology, data-driven analysis and ML methods.
• Experience with acoustic analysis, corpus linguistics, and statistical modeling is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Preprocess and manage corpora including Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese data.
• Develop supervised and unsupervised ML methods to analyze sociolinguistic variation.
• Integrate linguistic hypotheses with machine learning approaches across interdisciplinary teams.
• Compare results with existing literature and control corpora (PRESEEA, other corpora).
• Contribute to reproducible pipelines for sociolinguistic analysis in low-resource settings.
