Job summary

CNRS in Gif-sur-Yvette invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the Molecular assemblies and genome integrity team. The project focuses on phage protein interactions, combining evolutionary and structural data to predict biomolecular interactions and develop prediction tools.

The 13-month contract is funded through a Franco-German ANR collaboration, with start date in autumn 2026 and a gross monthly salary of 3131–4341 euros, depending on prior experience.

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics, microbiology/viral ecology, or related field.
• Experience in data analysis and methods development.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of French not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Data collection and curation.
• Benchmarking of 3D structure prediction tools and language models.
• Multi-scale structural modeling and analysis of predicted 3D models.
• Statistical modeling and machine learning to extract features and develop predictor tools.
• Analysis of interaction networks.
• Development of methods, scripts and software; use of compute clusters.
• Preparation of data for integration into VirJenDB database.
