BRGM invites applications for a two-year post-doctoral position in the Geophysics and Surface Remote Sensing unit. The project focuses on multi-physical modelling to enhance recovery of critical metals in mineral flotation reactors, incorporating DLVO-type interactions and reactive transport simulations with PHREEQC and CFD tools.

The candidate will develop models, run simulations, and contribute to scientific dissemination, collaborating with partners and attending conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD degree required with 1–3 years of postdoctoral or relevant experience.
• Strong basis in geosciences, mineral flotation and multiphysics modelling.
• Proficiency in Python; knowledge of C++ is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Develop a multi-scale mineral flotation model including DLVO-type interactions.
• Perform reactive transport calculations using geochemistry tools (PHREEQC) and CFD if needed.
• Predict flotation behaviour from mineralogical data and pulp chemistry.
• Analyze adhesion/detachment processes and contribute to results dissemination.
