Job summary

ESPCI Paris is seeking a motivated post-doctoral candidate to join IMAP for work on porous materials, MOFs, and related composites. You will synthesize and characterize solids, optimize synthesis and scale-up, and assess photocatalytic activity in collaboration with SPARTE partners.

Regular reports and presentations for EU project deliverables are expected, under Dr Georges Mouchaham. The role is based at IMAP in Paris, with potential European collaboration and a starting date of 01/01/2027 for

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent required.
• Experience in synthesis and characterization of hybrid porous materials.
• Experience in synthesis optimization and scale up.
• Knowledge of X-ray diffraction and gas sorption methods.
• Experience in photocatalysis.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize MOFs and related composites for SPARTE/IMAP.
• Characterize solids using diffraction, porosimetry, IR & UV-Vis spectroscopy.
• Optimize synthesis and scale up for scalable solids.
• Screen photocatalytic activity in collaboration with team members.
