Job summary

CNRS – National Center for Scientific Research is seeking a Researcher to investigate molecular mechanisms of cholesterol transport and storage at endoplasmic reticulum–plasma membrane contact sites. The successful candidate will use live-cell imaging (confocal/TIRF/super-resolution), lipid visualization, and electron microscopy to acquire and analyze data.

Qualifications

• PhD in cell biology.
• Proven experience with live-cell imaging using confocal, TIRF and super-resolution microscopy.
• Experience with electron microscopy and analysis of cellular ultrastructure.
• Skills in lipid visualization and intracellular trafficking studies.
• Proficiency in cell and molecular biology techniques.
• Strong quantitative image analysis and data processing abilities.
• Ability to work independently with scientific rigor and in a team.
• Strong scientific communication and English writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cell and molecular biology experiments to study membrane contact sites in cholesterol transport.
• Study protein dynamics at membrane contact sites using confocal, TIRF and super-resolution imaging.
• Visualize intracellular lipid distribution and transport between cellular compartments.
• Apply electron microscopy to characterize ultrastructure and lipid droplet morphology.
• Perform data acquisition, quantitative analysis and interpretation of results.
• Present results at meetings and contribute to publications.
• Collaborate within the Lipid Trafficking and Membrane Contact Sites team.
