Job summary

The CNRS - National Center for Scientific Research, at the Fresnel Institute in Marseille, seeks a First Stage Researcher to develop a Python/MATLAB based numerical platform for optical tomography image formation. The role focuses on imaging biological tissues and cultured cells and requires implementing, testing, and validating the code with experimental data.

Work will be conducted within the SEMO team under supervision of senior CNRS researchers.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in image processing and optics.
• Knowledge of diffractive optics and microscopy is desirable.
• Experience with numerical simulations and programming in Python or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Develop a numerical simulation platform in Python or MATLAB to model image formation using optical tomography.
• Apply the tool to imaging biological tissues and cultured cells and compare results with experimental data.
• Develop and test code in MATLAB or Python, and validate results against group experiments.
