Job summary

The role involves conducting behavioral tests to characterise social and emotional behaviours, using specialized software for analysis and accurate image processing.

Qualifications

• Certified training in animal experimentation, including surgery and experimental procedures.
• Experience in surgery and stereotaxic injection in mice.
• Proficiency in the main behavioural tests used in mice to assess: anxiety; social interactions; ultrasonic vocalisations.
• Use of specialist software for behavioural analysis in mice.
• Proficiency in image analysis and processing software.

Responsibilities

• To investigate the impact of a new pharmacological compound targeting neuropeptides on social behaviour in mice.
• To assess the effects of the treatment on various behavioural parameters.
• Conducting long-term treatments in mice.
• Behavioural assessment of the animals following treatment.
