IRD in Montpellier invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in population genomics and functional genomics within the DIADE unit, focusing on date palm transposable elements and their evolutionary dynamics. The position is based in Montpellier with international collaboration, access to regional HPC facilities, and potential PhD supervision.

Qualifications

• PhD in biology, evolutionary biology or bioinformatics.
• Strong genomics and bioinformatics background including sequencing data analysis.
• Experience with deep-learning approaches is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Integrate population genomics with functional genomics data (expression, epigenetics).
• Develop statistical and machine-learning approaches for TE analysis.
• Generate and analyse RNA-seq, ATAC-seq and methylation data.
• Build gene regulatory networks and study TE dynamics across populations.
