The Institut de Biologie Structurale in Grenoble invites applications for a post-doctoral position in structural biology/astrobiology. The project covers extremophile proteome adaptation, and traces of extraterrestrial life in Martian brines, using nano-DSF, nano-photometry, neutron diffusion, and MS/MS proteomics with Alphafold 2 support.

The candidate should hold a PhD in structural biology/biophysics or protein biochemistry and has an interest in basic exobiology research.

Qualifications

• PhD in structural biology/biophysics or protein biochemistry.
• Experience in proteomic analysis and bioinformatics desirable.
• Interest in basic research related to environmental adaptation and exobiology.

Responsabilités

• Carry out proteome-scale analyses under extreme conditions (salts, temperature, pressure).
• Apply structure predictions (Alphafold 2) to identify robust protein populations.
• Perform affinity chromatography trapping and MS/MS proteomics analyses as part of the project.
