The Université Grenoble Alpes invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in prebiotic chemistry within the Département de Chimie Moléculaire. The project involves CO2 fixation under non-enzymatic conditions, potentially under UV irradiation, and will be conducted under CO2 pressure.

The successful candidate will develop analytical methods (NMR, Mass Spectrometry) to identify products and determine yields, and will collaborate with IBS and the Origins program to interpret results.

Qualifications

• PhD in chemistry required.
• Ideally experience in catalysis (including heterogeneous catalysis).
• Ability to work in a team and report results clearly.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Investigate prebiotic CO2 reactions under CO2 pressure and possible UV irradiation.
• Develop analytical methods (NMR, MS) to identify products and determine yields.
• Collaborate with biologists and astrophysicists within the Origins program.
