Inserm France in Illkirch-Graffenstaden invites a student to join our lab studying myotendinous junction translation programs. You will use mouse genetics to generate mutants, analyze phenotypes, and explore the local translatome.
The project includes biochemical pull-downs, mass spectrometry and NGS, plus presenting results at lab meetings and conferences and supervising Master's students. English language required.
Myotendinous junction (MTJ) is a mechanical buffer of the skeletal muscle cell and prone site to injury upon exercise. Our lab recently developed a new tool to manipulate the MTJ domain and revealed its local translational program as well as how it rewires after exercise. However, the molecular mechanism by which this special translation program is achieved remains unknown. The student will take both candidate and unbiased approaches to address this problem.
