Job summary

INSERM Rhône Alpes in Lyon invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) postdoc in Neurosciences. The project examines how branched-chain amino acids influence the sleep/wake cycle using Drosophila, focusing on LAT-1 transport and brain hemolymph BCAA dynamics to modulate neuronal circuits controlling sleep.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor BCAA levels in the hemolymph and brain.
• Assess intracellular BCAA levels in GABAergic and dopaminergic circuits involved in sleep/wake regulation.
• Determine how neuronal activity influences intracellular BCAA levels.
• Evaluate how BCAA-dependent pathways impact sleep/wake behavior.
