Institut du Cerveau – Paris Brain Institute seeks a research support specialist to contribute to scientific projects and laboratory operations. You will perform HCR, in situ and imaging work on zebrafish, mouse and macaque samples, and develop expansion microscopy cycles to study movement-related neuronal populations.

The role requires autonomy, strong organizational and communication skills, and willingness to travel for seminars. Fluency in French and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Biotechnology diploma (BTS/DUT) or related degree in Biotechnologies or Genetic Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology with wet laboratory experiences.
• The role does not involve academic research skills; background oriented toward professional practice.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English (written and oral).
• Junior candidates welcome if they have lab work experiences.

Responsabilités

• Performing HCR/in situ/immunostaining/imaging on zebrafish, mouse and macaque samples.
• Developing cycles of HCR combined with expansion microscopy on the fish brain.
• Analyzing, presenting and reporting results in English during weekly discussions and lab meetings.
• Ordering and archiving reagents and small equipment; organizing lab databases.
