Job summary

The CNRS Centre de Recherche en Biologie cellulaire de Montpellier (CRBM) invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) position in development biology. The project will be co-supervised by Dr. Julie Carnesecchi (IGMM) and Dr.

Albert Tsai (CRBM), with work spanning both labs during the thesis. Candidates should have a strong background in molecular biology, Drosophila genetics, confocal imaging, and quantitative data analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience with confocal microscopy and image analysis.
• Familiarity with Drosophila genetics and embryo development is desirable.
• Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Co-direct with IGMM and CRBM labs across the thesis period.
• Perform genome editing in Drosophila and tag splicing factors.
• Carry out transcriptomics (RNA-seq) and differential splicing analyses.
• Conduct 3D imaging and quantitative mapping of nuclear hubs.
• Analyze Ubx target genes and protein interaction networks.
