CNRS in Montpellier, within the Theoretical Physical Chemistry & Modeling Department, seeks a First Stage Researcher to advance quantum simulations of molecules. You will develop methods that couple electronic and nuclear motion, including non-adiabatic dynamics, and explore quantum algorithms for time evolution on simulators and hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantum simulation of molecules.
• Background in theoretical/computational chemistry and quantum algorithms.
• Ability to work on interdisciplinary projects and communicate results clearly.

Responsabilités

• Develop a unified formalism for molecular quantum dynamics on quantum computers.
• Adapt existing quantum algorithms for time evolution and electron-nuclear dynamics.
• Test algorithms on classical simulators and real quantum hardware, accounting for NISQ constraints.
