TotalEnergies is seeking a Flow Assurance Engineer within the Well Performance Expertise & Methods department. Based in a global, multidisciplinary environment, you will advise on development projects and operating assets, ensuring reliable production and efficient field performance.

You will conduct flow assurance studies, model complex PVT behavior, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams across affiliates.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Master’s in Chemical/Process/Petroleum engineering.
• At least 3 years in oil and gas, including assets operation.
• Strong thermodynamics, fluid behavior and PVT modeling expertise.

Responsabilités

• Conduct flow assurance, production performance studies across development and execution phases.
• Analyze flow stability during startup, ramp-up, restart, and loss of natural flow.
• Assess risks from hydrates, erosion, cross-flow and deposits in surfaces and wells.

Join the Production & Well Performance (PWP) teams within the OneTech branch and contribute to improving the performance of TotalEnergies’ Exploration & Production assets worldwide.

As part of the Well Performance Expertise & Methods (WEM) department, you will work in an international, multidisciplinary, and collaborative environment at the intersection of production, well engineering, process engineering, and flow assurance. You will provide technical expertise on both development projects and operating assets, while interacting with numerous affiliates and technical teams across the Company.

Activities

In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

• Conducting flow assurance, production performance, and engineering studies during the development and execution phases of projects;
• Analyzing and modeling flow stability during critical production transient phases, including clean-up, start-up, ramp-up, restart, and loss of well natural flow;
• Predicting pressure-temperature conditions and contributing to the sizing of well equipment and gathering network facilities;
• Assessing and managing risks related to hydrates, erosion, cross-flow, and organic or inorganic deposits;
• Providing technical support to project teams and study managers;
• Supporting affiliates in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of wells and production facilities;
• Identifying production constraints and bottlenecks within gathering networks and surface processing facilities;
• Proposing and evaluating optimization opportunities;
• Contributing to the development, improvement, and transfer of methodologies and tools.

Candidate Profile

Holding an Engineering Degree or a Master’s Degree (Master 2) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline, you have at least 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including operational experience gained on producing assets and facilities.

You have:

• Strong expertise in thermodynamics, fluid behavior, and PVT modeling;
• Proven experience in flow assurance applied to wells, flowlines, and risers;
• Good knowledge of PVT modeling tools and their application for the analysis and optimization of production systems;
• A solid understanding of multiphase flow and production assurance challenges;
• The ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues in an operational environment;
• National and international mobility, both for short-term assignments and long-term deployments;
• Excellent command of French and English (minimum C1 level).

Knowledge of oil, gas, and produced water treatment processes, as well as process modeling, would be considered an asset.
