Job summary

Timmins and District Hospital in Timmins, ON is seeking an experienced OR support role to ensure clean, efficient operation of the perioperative area. The position requires leadership, bilingual English/French ability, and CSAO certification.

You will perform portering, supply management, instrument reprocessing, and collaborate with nursing and surgical teams. A high school diploma and prior OR experience are required; salary starts at $27.85/hour with steps to $29.60/hour under the STW

Qualifications

• Must possess CSAO certificate (Central Service Association of Ontario) or equivalent.
• Must be a high school graduate.
• Must possess the ability to learn, understand and apply techniques in the OR/Urology Department.
• Must be able to function in a busy environment and under stress.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and high-quality work within current requirements.
• Maintain infection control standards and department policies.
• Lead, coach and mentor staff; participate in orientation and training.
• Reprocess scopes and surgical instruments; keep areas stocked and organized.
• Portering for the OR and transport of patients and supplies as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and safety in accordance with guidelines.
