Description du poste

Join Hightekers Group as a Payroll Operations Specialist!

Remote from France, the UK, or Spain

Hybrid options from Paris, London or Barcelona

Hightekers Group is a global workforce management solutions leader operating across EMEIA, APAC, and LATAM. Under one unified group, we power two distinct brands and business models designed to make international employment and flexible work simple, practical, and human: Hightekers and Rivermate.

This specific position sits within Hightekers—our freelancing management brand that supports over 4,000 independent professionals globally, helping them combine the freedom and earning potential of freelancing with genuine benefits and administrative relief. We are scaling quickly, and this role will be key to driving our business operations across France.

As a Payroll Operations Specialist, you will drive operational excellence by bridging internal operations and technical payroll delivery. You will ensure that every payroll cycle, statutory submissions, and client input meet our highest standards of precision, local compliance, and strict SLA adherence in France.

This is not just about executing calculations; it is about serving as the core technical expert providing accurate insights on provisions and payroll simulations, and ensuring our cross‑functional stakeholders have the clarity and confidence needed to scale operations seamlessly, every single cycle.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage the full monthly payroll cycle for +350 employees and clients (across 5 entities), including data collection, monthly updates, income tax calculations, and Social Security reconciliations, while ensuring accurate processing via local payroll platforms.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll‑related inquiries regarding payslips, deductions, taxes, and benefits, providing clear and timely support to internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee mandatory statutory submissions, collaborate with Finance on payroll reporting and cost reconciliations, and ensure full compliance with local tax regulations and special tax regimes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate workflows, enhancing overall payroll efficiency, data accuracy, scalability, and operational controls.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to align payroll processes with employment contracts while monitoring changes in payroll legislation and Social Security regulations.
  • Collaborate with international payroll teams to manage and control global pay cycles during staff leaves, training, or career development programmes.
What You’ll Bring:
  • +8 years of hands‑on experience in payroll production, statutory compliance, income tax calculations, and Social Security filings. Exposure to multi‑country payroll environments is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated capability in executing full payroll processing cycles, managing statutory submissions, and handling cross‑functional alignment between HR and Finance.
  • Proven experience controlling and submitting URSSAF and DSN.
  • Proven capability to maintain high data accuracy, identify calculation discrepancies, and implement effective operational controls in regulated environments.
  • Bachelor’s in Labour Relations, Human Resources, Law, Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience). Diploma or Certification in Advanced Payroll and Social Security Management.
  • Google Workspace, advanced Excel skills, proficiency in modern, cloud‑based payroll solutions (or HRIS systems), proficiency with ADP Decidium, and hands‑on experience navigating local statutory, tax, and social security portals.
  • Fluent in English and French (written and spoken). Proficiency in Dutch or other group language is a strong plus.
What we offer:
  • Flexibility: hybrid work setup (Tue, Wed, Thu: from the office / Mon, Fri: from home) (or remote)
  • Work from Abroad: up to 20 office days per year.
  • Time off: legally designated vacation days and local public holidays.
  • Learning: access to a learning platform and an individual annual training budget.
  • Health Coverage: private medical insurance.
  • Wellbeing: access to fitness and wellness experiences through ClassPass.
  • Referral Bonus: financial reward for successful referrals.
