Euroclear is seeking a Payroll Expert to join the People and Organization Operations Team in France. You will manage payroll processes for multiple entities, ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery of payroll, and act as a trusted partner to Finance, Legal, and Tax.

You will leverage HRIS and time attendance systems, maintain data quality, handle complex employee queries, support audits, and drive continuous improvement including automation and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of payroll administration experience for a workforce around 500 employees.
  • Strong knowledge of French labour and social legislation.
  • Proven experience leading HR projects.
  • Subject matter expertise in payroll management.

Responsabilités

  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure statutory compliance in France.
  • Maintain HR and payroll data accuracy across systems.
  • Handle employee and management requests, including complex cases.

As a Payroll Expert you will join the People and Organization Operations Team covering HR activities (Payroll, Operations and HR Administration) and will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of payroll and related activities, including legal compliance, reliability, data accuracy, risk management, operational efficiency, and the delivery of a high level of service to employees.

You have strong skills in HR Information Systems and related applications.

This is a strategic role involving participation in all payroll and personnel administration activities for several legal entities in France, representing a workforce of more than 500 employees.

PAYROLL MANAGEMENT

You ensure compliance with French labour and social security legislation and participate in payroll processing of the full payroll cycle within your scope (monthly, periodic, yearly).

You ensure the integrity, quality and consistency of HR and payroll data across all systems.

You handle employee and management requests, including complex requests.

You provide guidance and advice and expertise to management.

You ensure a fair and consistent level of service across all stakeholders.

You act as a key partner for Finance, Legal, Tax and other business stakeholders on payroll-related matters.

You communicate with employees regarding salary matters and tax deductions.

You identify payroll risks, implement appropriate controls and ensure compliance with internal governance and regulatory requirements.

You act as the owner of internal and external audits.

HR OPERATIONS

You handle employee and management requests, including complex requests.

You manage administrative processes throughout the employee lifecycle.

You act as the owner of internal and external audits.

You manage relationships with external service providers.

You coordinate with other divisions to ensure the resolution of HR-related issues.

You produce analytical reports for local and corporate management.

PROJECTS

You take ownership and contribute to internal projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

You support the integration of systems and tools at an international group level.

You act as the payroll subject matter expert for France and contribute to the continuous improvement of People Operations processes at local and group level.

You proactively identify automation and process improvement opportunities and contribute to digital transformation initiatives and implementation of Artificial Intelligence in the operations.

Profile as a Payroll Expert
Education

You ideally have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management , or an equivalent qualification gained through professional experience.

Experience

You have at least 5-8 years of experience in payroll administration for a workforce of around 500 employees, with significant exposure to in-house payroll management.

You have strong expertise in French labour and social legislation. This is essential.

You have proven experience in leading HR projects.

You have recognised subject matter expertise in the field.

Technical Skills

You have strong skills in HR Information Systems and related applications : HRIS, time attendance system and payroll software.

You have proficiency in Microsoft tools (Microsoft 365 Suite, Outlook, Excel, AI tools, SharePoint,etc.)

You have excellent knowledge of employment law and current regulations, with a strong focus on monitoring legislative developments.

You can lead and manage cross-functional projects.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret payroll and workforce data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
