Barclays is seeking a Director, Corporate Governance for a fixed-term contract based in Paris. The role provides senior company secretarial and governance support across Barclays Europe, advising Board members and executives on governance obligations and regulatory requirements while ensuring continuity of service during a defined period of heightened activity.

Qualifications

• Senior governance experience with statutory and regulatory compliance.
• Expertise in corporate governance frameworks and board processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication at executive level.

Responsabilités

• Act as Company Secretary for regulated or significant entities, interfacing with the Chairman and senior executives.
• Provide governance advice on applicable laws, policies and fiduciary duties to Directors.
• Draft and review charters, terms of reference and policy documents for governance clarity.
• Maintain statutory and governance registers and ensure alignment with Barclays Group standards.
• Support on major governance projects including reorganisations, mergers and subsidiary accounts.
